Getting started

This page covers how to sign in, how to find your way around Katalane, and how a product list becomes delivered images.

Get access

Access is by invitation only. You can't sign up yourself.

Open Katalane and press Continue with Google.
If your Google account belongs to a workspace, you go straight to your catalog.
If it doesn't, you'll see Katalane is invitation-only. You can add a note about the brand you work with and what you're hoping to do, then press Keep me posted to join the waitlist.
Signed in with the wrong Google account? Press Use a different account.
If your company already uses Katalane, ask an owner to add you. That's faster than the waitlist. The owner opens Team, presses Give access…, enters your email address and chooses a role. You must have signed in to Katalane once with Google before they can add you.

Role	What it can do
Owner	Can change billing and who has access. Nobody can remove or change an owner.
Admin	Can run and change everything except who has access.
Viewer	Can look, but can't start work or spend credits.

The menu on the left holds these screens:

Screen	What it's for
Catalog	Every product in your workspace. You start an import from here.
Color audit	Products whose color names in your store don't match their photographs.
Pipelines	Where you work through products: get images, make new photographs, choose and deliver.
Drive	Files you've uploaded to Katalane.
Library	Your models, plus Katalane's.
Recipes	The sets of images Katalane can make, and where you try a recipe on one product.
Runs	Work running in the background, and work that has finished.
Destinations	Where finished images go: a Google Drive folder or a zip download.
Billing	What your workspace has been charged, in credits.
Team	Who has access.
Settings	Your Google account, connected stores (Ticimax, Nebim) and color codes.

Import your products. Go to Catalog and press Import…, then New import. See Importing.
Make a pipeline. Go to Pipelines, press New pipeline, choose What it makes (a recipe) and Where it goes (a destination), name it and press Create pipeline. This starts no work and costs nothing.
Put products in it. Select products in Catalog and choose Add to pipeline, or press Add products inside the pipeline. Adding costs nothing and doesn't start any work.
Get images. Select products and press Look for images. Katalane can match them from your Drive, take an upload, or look for them on the brand's own website.
Make what's missing. Select products and press Photograph…. You'll see the price before anything starts.
Choose. Press Curate these →, pick the images to ship, then press Mark to deliver →.
Deliver. Select the products that are marked ready and press Send. A download destination gives you Download the files.

You can only sign in with a Google account.
If your session ends, Katalane asks you to sign in again, and nothing you were doing is lost.
Anything that costs credits shows its price before you press. See Credits.
Viewers can open every screen. The buttons that start work or spend credits don't appear for them.
