Credits

This page covers what costs credits, what's free, and where to see what your workspace has spent.

1 credit = $0.10. Every charge in Katalane is counted in credits. For plans, see Pricing.

What costs credits

The app sums it up as: credits are charged when you photograph products, read them, look for images on the web, or try a recipe.

What you doCredits
A new image, made on a model, with a model swap, or by any other step that makes an image10 per image at the default 2K size ($1.00). 5 at 1K, 20 at 4K.
Looking on the brand's site for a product1 per product it finds something for. A product it doesn't find costs nothing.
Reading a product: labeling each image with the shot it shows, and working out category and gender from the photographs1 per product
Trying a recipe on one productThe price of the steps it runs. The Try it button shows the most it can cost.

A product found on the brand's site is also read, so a found product costs 2 credits in total (1 to find, 1 to read).

Reading happens when you press Read them on products in a pipeline, or Analyze on a single product there. It also happens when Read what it matches (matching from your files) or Read what it brings in (Ticimax import) is ticked.

What's free

  • The import itself from a spreadsheet, a Ticimax store or Nebim. Reading imported products is charged separately when selected.
  • Matching images from Katalane Drive, Google Drive or an upload. If Read what it matches is ticked, reading the matched products costs 1 credit each.
  • Creating a pipeline and adding products to it.
  • Read text, which picks up description, composition and care from a page Katalane already found.

What isn't charged

  • A refused generation, where the image model won't make an image from a photograph.
  • An image Katalane's own checks reject.
  • A search of the brand's site that found nothing.

These are still recorded, so you can see the work happened.

See the price before you press

Every action that costs credits shows its price before anything starts:

  • Photograph… puts the price on the button that starts the work.
  • Look on the brands' sites shows the most it could cost if it found every product. It will usually cost less.
  • Read them shows its total on the button.
  • Try it shows the most a try can cost.

See what you've spent

  1. Open Billing from the menu on the left.
  2. Choose a period: 7 days, 30 days, 90 days or 12 months.
  3. Charged shows the total for the period, with a chart by day, week or month.
  4. Where it went splits the total into Photography, Studio (recipes tried), Getting images and other areas.
  5. What it was spent on lists each kind of charge, with a Total.

Good to know

  • 2K is the default image size. You can pick 1K or 4K under Backdrop and size when you photograph or try a recipe.
  • Running the same product again is charged again.
  • Viewers can see Billing but can't spend credits.
  • If a line on Billing has no explanation, press Report a problem and we'll explain it.
